Where will I be based?

All our techies are based, and work, in their local region. Our head office and stores are in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Do I need to provide my own van and tools?

No, we provide all our techies with a company van, and the tools they need to do the job.

What will I earn?

A competitive basic salary, based on a day rate of £100, with bonuses dependent on delivery of service objectives.

Do I need to work weekends?

We ask all of our techies to work one Saturday every fortnight, meaning an optional 6-day week (dependent on workload), or flexibility with a day off during the week.

Will I be self-employed?

No, all of our techies are directly employed by Wudhus Ltd.

What holidays am I entitled to?

Our employees have 28 days paid holiday (including statutory), subject to accrual.

Will I receive any training?

We offer opportunities to further your skills, through internal and external training courses.

Do I need to organise my working day?

No, customer bookings and scheduling are taken care of by our call centre and service desk teams.

What does a typical working day look like?

You’ll be given details of your first job for the day via SMS at the end of the previous working day.

Rising bright and early, you’ll be off to visit your first customer. On arrival, you’ll be expected to assess the problem and liaise with our office sales team to provide the customer with their options, and a quotation for the work.

Provided the customer is happy to go ahead, you’ll be able complete the work there and then using parts stocked in your van. If not, you can leave a quotation with the customer for further consideration.

Once the customer is happy, you’ll be sent details of your next job, and get going. We like to keep our techies busy, so you needn’t worry about sitting around waiting for work.

We want our techies to focus on what they do best, so our office team will be there to assist you whenever required.
